PARENTING DOESN'T CHANGE THROUGH INFORMATION ALONE.

You may already know that you should:

Listen more.
Stay calm.
Set boundaries.
Limit screen time.

Spend quality time together.

But knowing what to do and being able to do it in a difficult moment are two different things.

Because real parenting happens when:

  • Your child refuses to study.

  • The phone becomes a daily battle.

  • Your teenager stops talking.

  • You repeat yourself again and again.

  • A simple conversation becomes an argument.

  • You lose your patience—and later wonder:

  • “How could I have handled that differently?”

The LQ Parenting Journey helps you move from knowing about parenting to practising a different way of parenting.

THIS IS A JOURNEY. NOT ANOTHER PARENTING COURSE.

Over 12 weeks, you will learn to:

DISCOVER

Understand your own parenting patterns, triggers and expectations.

UNDERSTAND

Look beyond behaviour and understand what may be happening underneath.

CONNECT

Build stronger conversations, trust and emotional connection.

GUIDE

Create boundaries that develop responsibility rather than dependence.

GROW

Turn everyday parenting situations into opportunities for capability.

TRANSFORM

Integrate these practices into your everyday family life.

THE LQ PARENTING FRAMEWORK™

From Correction to Connection

You will explore how behaviour, emotions, communication, boundaries, learning, relationships and independence are connected.

UNDERSTAND → CONNECT → GUIDE → GROW

Everything in the Journey comes back to four questions.

01 — UNDERSTAND

What is happening?

Before correcting behaviour, learn to observe, question and understand.

02 — CONNECT

How can I protect the relationship?

Create the emotional safety that makes meaningful communication possible.

03 — GUIDE

What does my child need to learn?

Move from controlling behaviour to developing responsibility.

04 — GROW

What capability can develop here?

Use everyday experiences to build independence, resilience and life capability.

Help your child gradually develop confidence, emotional capability, responsibility, resilience and independence.

  • What have I discovered about myself?

  • What do I understand differently about my child?

  • What has changed in our conversations?

  • Which parenting patterns have shifted?

  • What responsibility can my child now take?

You'll create your:
PERSONAL PARENTING DEVELOPMENT PLAN
A practical plan for continuing your journey beyond the program.

THIS IS HOW THE LEARNING WORKS

We don't want you to sit for 12 weeks listening to someone talk about parenting.

Every week follows a simple cycle:

EXPERIENCE

Start with a real parenting situation.

↓

REFLECT

Notice your own response.

↓

UNDERSTAND

Explore what may be happening.

↓

PRACTISE

Try a different response.

↓

EXPERIMENT

Take it into your home.

↓

REFLECT

Notice what happened.

↓

GROW

Adapt your approach.

LEARN → REFLECT → PRACTISE → APPLY → REVIEW → GROW

BRING YOUR REAL PARENTING QUESTIONS

The Journey isn't built around imaginary parenting problems.

We work with situations that parents actually face.

“My child doesn't listen.”- Explore communication, connection and responsibility.

“My child spends too much time on screens.” -Explore boundaries, autonomy and self-regulation.

“My child doesn't want to study.” -Explore motivation, learning and independence.

“My teenager doesn't talk to me.” -Explore trust, listening and connection.

“My child gets angry very quickly.” -Explore emotions, triggers and communication.

“I keep losing my patience.”- Explore your own triggers and responses.

YOUR REAL LIFE BECOMES PART OF THE LEARNING.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is this a parenting course?
Not in the traditional sense. The Journey is a guided parent-development experience combining learning, reflection, discussion, practice and real-life experimentation.

How is this different from the LQ Parenting Workshop?
The workshop is an introduction to the LQ approach. The Journey goes much deeper. The workshop helps you experience the framework. The Journey gives you 12 weeks to practise and integrate it.

Do I need to attend the workshop before joining?
No. The workshop is recommended as an introduction, but it is not a prerequisite unless a particular cohort specifies otherwise.

Will we discuss our own parenting situations?
Yes. Real-life situations are an important part of the learning. However, parents are never required to disclose anything they are uncomfortable sharing.

Is this therapy?
No. LQ Parenting is an educational parent-development program and does not provide psychotherapy, psychiatric treatment, medical care or clinical diagnosis.

What age group is this for?
The framework can be adapted across childhood and adolescence. Specific cohorts may be organised around particular age groups depending on participant needs.

Will my child attend the sessions?
The core Journey is designed for parents. Some future or specialised programs may include parent–child sessions where appropriate.

What if my child has a significant emotional or behavioural concern?
The LQ Parenting Journey can help parents understand everyday parenting challenges, but it is not a substitute for specialist care.
Where appropriate, we will encourage parents to seek support from a suitably qualified professional.

What happens after 12 weeks?
You leave with a personal parenting development plan and a 30-day continuation practice.
Eligible participants may also continue through LQ Parent Circle™ and future advanced learning experiences.
